Our French Chateau Wedding Part II

The morning of, the most exciting time yet the most stressful time for every bride and groom. The chateau allowed me to check in early morning and my husband later in the afternoon. We each got ready in separate rooms and floors as I did not want him to see me until the ceremony.

Generally people do a “first look” prior to the ceremony for their photography. For me, I wanted the first time he sees me to be when I walk down the aisle. It was important for me to keep everything authentic. I will forever cherish the look on his face when he watched me get closer to him, as I walked down the aisle.

We were very fortunate to have our dear friend marry us on this day. If you’re not doing a religious wedding I highly recommend asking someone who is special to you both to be your officiant. It makes everything that much more closer to the heart and intimate.

We had a 2 hour cocktail after the ceremony where people enjoyed the food, drinks and yard games as we snuck away with the photographer and got our wedding shots.
