I am loving Fall in New York. The weather is simply perfect and as the colors of the trees change, the city becomes even more charming.
On Saturday we started our day with breakfast in Soho at Jack’s Wife Freda. The food was delicious. I had the eggs Shakshuka and my husband had the Mediterranean breakfast. I have to say I’ve never had green shakshuka before but it was so good! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a good place to eat in Soho before going shopping around the neighborhood. They do not take reservations so get there early!
After, we walked around and found a Diesel sample sale. Honestly, I have found some of my favorite pieces of clothing at sample sales in New York! I love it!!
My husband bought a few things then we walked around (had to make a pit stop at La Colombe for their amazing coffee). The weather was just so beautiful we decided to go downtown and see the One World Observatory and walk around Battery Park.
We walked along the Hudson River and watched the sailboats cruising through the wind and the fishermen fishing away (my husband also found a new friend squirrel). We worked our way all the way up to Chelsea market. We discovered a seafood market and restaurant in there called The Lobster Place. It looked so good and it was way to packed but it’s on our list of places to eat at so I’ll be sure to post pictures when we go back.
After all the walking, I got a huge craving for Chinese food. And I mean greasy take out Chinese food. I probably hadn’t eaten orange chicken and vegetable fried rice in over 3 years! Of course, I couldn’t forget about the cheese wontons 🙂
