The night of Halloween, my husband and I went to the Pumpkin Blaze near Sleepy Hollow at the Historic Van Cortlandt Manor. It’s an annual local event where volunteers gather and carve over 10,000 pumpkins and create different designs. The art and the talent that went into this was just amazing. Every pumpkin was carved in a different design and illuminated. There were some fake lights in a few but most were lit with real candles. It was very dark but I was able to capture some pictures 🙂
Starry night was one of my favorites! I loved the colored lights. Standing underneath and watching the stars turn color was very beautiful ! I just can’t believe the dedicated volunteers who put this together and how talented they are!
The manor was very spooky. They hard turned the front yard into a “rise of the dead cemetery”. Also, the manor was kept exactly as it was left since the 18th century!
But how cute are these pumpkins? I especially love the kitty one! 🙂
