Traditionally, we always celebrated Thanksgiving at my mom’s house. My family and my husband’s family would gather at her house and we’d have a big feast. My sister and I would get creative in making a new delicious dessert. I’ve gotten used to having that family time.
This year, for the first time, we are away from home for the holidays. However, we still kept the traditional feast even just for the 2 of us. It was a lot of work but so much fun. Then afterwards we set up the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music. We even facetimed with family. It was the perfect Thanksgiving. So much to be grateful for.
Even if things don’t always go according to your plan, still remember to show gratitude for what you do have. There are people today without a meal or a roof over their head. There are people without shelter and under attack as we speak. We have our health and safety.
Everything else will work out on its own…
