Rainbow Room Brunch

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice a Sunday brunch at the Rainbow Room last week.  Rainbow room is a restaurant and bar on the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Plaza with a panoramic view of the entire city.  It has a cool classic vibe with elegant decorations. I fell in love then moment we stepped out of the elevator! For brunch, they have a set price per person and you can order anything you want from the menu, as many times you want.  There is also a buffet style set up for additional items… that had a really nice classic blues band with a woman singing all my favorite frank sinatra songs… the ambiance was just lovely…. the view was also amazing! We got lucky as it was sunny with clear skies…

From the buffet, we loved the Canadian ham and all the seafood! I also loved all the cheese and bread selection of course… 🙂

We had eaten so much by the time we tried everything from the buffet but we just had to order something from the menu as well! We shared the lobster Benedict as well as the black truffle mac and cheese.  I have the say, the mac and cheese was just OUT of this world delicious! It was sooo good!!!

But wait , it wasn’t over… there was still dessert!

I don’t know if it’s because I was ready to throw up full or what but I wasn’t much impressed with the dessert… I mean it was good and as you can see I made sure to get a taste of everything but I wasn’t amazed… the food was definitely better than the dessert! But they looked pretty 🙂

This by far was our favorite brunch experience in New York so far!

Here’s to many more! Cheers!
